Employee approval is required for residency transfers (sponsorship transfers) following the implementation of the Labor Reform Initiative (LRI) in Saudi Arabia. This article explains how an employee can accept an employee transfer request submitted by a new employer in Saudi Arabia through the Qiwa platform.
How to Accept a Transfer Request in Qiwa
Visit the Qiwa platform: https://qiwa.sa/
Select English.
Select “Sign in” from the top right corner of the page.
Enter your Qiwa username and password.
Enter the one-time password received by SMS on your registered mobile phone number and click the “Login” button.
Select “Individual Account”.
Click “Transfer Request” under the “Employee Transfer” option.
You will now be able to view the details of the transfer request, including the request number, the current facility, the type of transfer, the new facility, the date, and the status of the request.
Click View to view the request.
Prior to your consent, the status will be “Pending Employment Consent.”
You can consult the employment contract by selecting the “See Contract” option.
After reviewing the employee’s contract, check the box “I have read the contract and terms of service and agree to transfer to this institution.”
Click the “Accept Request” button.
A new pop-up with a brief description of the transfer process will appear on the screen where you need to click the Accept Request button.
You have now successfully accepted the transfer request.
After the application is accepted, the status will change to “Waiting for new employer to complete transfer at Absher.”
